| Plot Summary | When Attorney Camelia Belmont accompanies her husband, cyber-security expert Leon Belmont, to Valencia, Spain to help launch his client’s new medical database platform, she agrees to check up on a deceased man’s estate as a favour to her neighbour, Marnie. But the priest who was supposed to accompany her to the coastal village where Marnie’s brother lived has been murdered, putting Camelia in a tenuous position. While recovering from the shock, she is approached by a mysterious man asking her for a dangerous favour. She agrees, but only to keep Leon out of the tangle of criminal activity swirling in and around the raucous Las Fallas festival. Discovering a covert plot by a Saudi Prince and a Russian mobster to exploit the medical database, Camelia and Leon must intervene in order to preserve the integrity of Leon’s project. In doing so, they assist in bringing the Russian mobster to justice. Upon their return to Phoenix, Camelia convinces Leon it’s time to return to their roots in Canada given the political situation in the USA. |
